COLIPR: Morphometric sexing software
A simple computer application has been designed to aid in processing and computing operations related to sex determination of the human skull. Assessment of an individual’s sex from the skull is performed using 7 discriminant formulas, with Cartesian coordinates of craniometric landmarks as input variables (acquired using digitizers, e.g., MicroScribe, or recorded on a 3D digital model of the skull). In addition to spatial data, traditional craniometric measurements can also be used. The algorithms for sex determination were created using knowledge acquired through the study of documented Czech and other skeletal collections around the world.
